Fact- Bullying is not a normal part of life and no child/teen should go through it.

​Bullying is not a normal part of life, as it can cause much pain and harm to a person, therefore should be condoned in all educational facilities and by parents. Bullying is not acceptable in any way or any place, no matter how small it may seem. Bullying can cause more harm to a person than we can imagine, without realizing it. 



 

Myths and Facts

Fact-

​

​Fighting violence with violence will only end in more violence, and in the world of today we can only hope young adults learn to resolve problems with peace. By bullying back, you become a bully yourself, and will only do to other the terrors that have been done to you. We do not want to add to bullying, we want to stop it, for safety.

Myth- Bullying is a part of life and all children/teens go through it at some point.

Many educators as well as parents believe that a little bit of bullying such as teasing or jokes is a normal part of a child's life. This also leads other children to believe that is is okay for them to tease and make harmful comments towards peers, and many educators have no place in correcting them.

Myth- By telling somebody, I can make the situation worse

​Many people who have witnessed or endured bullying themselves believe that if they tell somebody, the problem will not be solved and the bullying will persist, sometimes more aggressively. 

Fact-​ Telling someone is essential in helping the problem

​

It is a right to be safe in any environment. Bullying is unacceptable and must be punished, for bullying will only trigger future, more harmful violence amongst young adults. Do not be afraid to speak up, you are doing a favor to yourself and to others.

Myth- If I am bullied, I should stand up and bully back

​

​Many children, young adults and parents believe that if they are being bullied, the simple resolution would be to fight back and that would eventually end the conflict.
